This man represents more than an individual.  He chooses to stand for all of us, for the causes WE hold dear, and a way of life where government supports its people and not the other way around.

Pat has lived in California since 1985.  He was born in Detroit and raised in Indiana.  He is married to Trish Meagher and is the father of nine children, ranging in age from 9 to 31; seven of which are adopted.  Pat has a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. in Ed.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Ball State University in Indiana; he has also attended Purdue University, UCLA, and the University of La Verne.

Pat and his family live in Forest Falls and are members of the Redlands United Church of Christ.  Pat has been a public school educator for 34 years.

As principal of Fontana Adult School for the past 6 years, he has obtained the highest possible regional accreditation for his school from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, he has raised student achievement to a level five times what it was before he came while increasing enrollment from 2,100 students to over 6,200, and increasing the school's federal revenue fourfold.

A lifelong Democrat despite having been raised in a Republican household in a red state, he has been active in politics since college.  Pat is the President of the Redlands Area Democratic Club, a Representative from the 65th Assembly District to the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee, a delegate from the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee to the State Convention in Sacramento during April and a member of the California Democratic Party State Central Committee.
