THE ECONOMY
We have started to come back from the brink of the depression that we faced when President Obama took office. The economy is recovering due to the strong incentives put in place by this Democratic Congress.
Our jobs market and housing industry still must be bolstered to recover from the devastating situation that existed. Our banking and mortgage industries must be brought into line to service not their shareholders, but the middle class Americans that strive for the American dream of upward mobility.
Small businesses are the key to economic growth. Over 70% of the existing jobs and over 70% of new jobs will be in small businesses. They need low cost loans to expand. They need incentives to be able to acquire and maintain quality employees. They need positive assurances that health care reforms will not impede their progress. They need a regulatory system that does not interfere with expansion and innovation.
We must all rise together in improving the job market and making homes affordable. I want to be your voice in Congress to keep the American Dream alive.
